Wow it's been a while.

I went back to writing deeper and darker things in a real journal for a while.
seemed more fun for a while.

but i'm back for a while maybe.

montana still sucks.. and so does being sick.
i went out of town and brought some god awful virus back with me...
that's 2nd time i've gotten sick from going there.

maybe it's a sign... I'll take it for what it's worth.

i've been toying with some brazilian jiujitsu lately.
some fun stuff. specially being my size...

training was fun until this week.
i dread going to work every morning

#1 i have been coughing ad gagging and dry heaving til my abs look bruised since sunday.
#2 the instructors we have teach us like we are fucking idiots... it's insulting to me. really insulting.
on my feedback at end of course in may hose set of instructors might have some negative bullets on my form.

oh... i may be leaving base and living with a friend. we are looking for a house..
both of us are from mississippi and like to have a good time so it sounds good. I can swing 300 bucks a month on rent and utilities and still have plenty of loot by june...

so yeah,

that's all i got now....

i'm coming home again after training for like 3 weeks or so if i have the time.
i'm going fishing with my dad and spending quality time with friends.

then come september .... IRAQ!!!!!!!!!!

yep... Bagdhad International Base......
and you know what. I am fucking proud of it too.

When I get back my career plans may change a little.
I may be going back home to MS to be full time Air Guard and be part of the Air Support Sqd.....
I may or may not be able to talk about where I go and what I do ;)

Sorry I quit writing...
I just kinda disappear now and then..

I broke up with my girlfriend.

it was for the best though. we are going to try and still be friends.
it's going to be kinda strange just hanging out and being friends for me but i will will try.

but yeah that's my night.

Sometimes I say dumb shit.
Sometimes I wear clothes people don't like
Sometimes I say things that don't make sense
Sometimes I make an ass of myself.

And ya know what?
I don't give a shit ;)

So anyway.

I think I have reached yet another cornerstone of my life.

More on that later....

I am super bored and figured I would post up.

So I took my CDC test and made a 77%.
Was one of the hardest tests I've ever taken.

I made a small wager with everyone else who took a test today I the lwoest score would get a buzz cut.
It kinda irritated me b/c have short hair b/c I did'n't do as well as everyone else did on the end of course test, but I did better than last class did with my score alone.

So tomorrow I start my shift in Support (6am-2pm M-F) which is fine with me.

So yeah, I'm done with the text book shit finally.
Now I am just in support / tool room until me and 2 or 3 more guys get assigned to Team Training and become a qualified Maintenance team to run the field w/out supervisor.

Sweet!

I didn't know that this fuse was for the end of it all.
With a grin and a flame I watch the glory.
With my back pressed against the wall and my face six feet from the ground,
a smile escapes, because my closet holds no bones.

The Chariot rocks....
ex- Norma Jean singer is easy to pick out in the lyrics.
I totally dig it. and the super crazy music.

I get a mental picture of some poor 2nd Lt in Missile Combat geting "the call" they all dread.
He and his 2nd man turn 4 keys. verfiy once more, and send the world back into the Stone age.

and you know how it goes....

30 minutes of less or the next one is free...;)

Damn that's a badass song.

I still wanna fly choppers though

The more I think about it, the more I want my dream to come true.

I live on Flightline Drive on the Air Base. The helicopters cme and go.. come and go.
Every time I hear them I see myself flying or riding shotgun as co-pilot .

I would settle for being an Aerial Gunner for a while, but I want to fly.
Not planes, not jets.... I wanna fly in or fly choppers.

I wanna be doin this......

Some day. It will happen. I know it will.

Well.

No one reads my LJ anymore hehe.
I guess it's because there is nothing interesting on there?

So here we go.

I went to Glacier National Park with mom Friday and Saturday.
It was alot of fun. I didn't see many animals but I saw some great sites.

I have some pictures on myspace if you wanna check em.
I was really glad to spend the weekend with her.

So on another note, I have been seeing this girl up here and I really dig her.
Enough said about that. Don't wanna put my business all on the internet.

I am really trying to come home again for Christmas.
It isn't that far away really.

Time seems to go by in week long blocks for me.
I live week to week here.

I don't know what else to say really.
Sept 24 is my deadline for cmpletitng my upgrade training and I have 1 month after that to study for a huge comprehensive written test.

I got it though.

Anyhow, I am done here.

I hear that train a-commin', it's rollin' around the bend
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when
I'm stuck in Folsom prison and time keeps draggin' on
But that train keeps a-rollin' on down to San Antone
When I was just a baby, my mama told me, son
Always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle blowin', I hang my head and cry
I bet there's rich folks eatin' in a fancy dining car
They're probably drinking coffee and smoking big cigars
But I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
But those people keep a-movin' and that's what tortures me
Well if that freed me from this prison
and that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move it on a little farther down the line
Far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

yes,

you heard it here first. i have been attending the montana state fair since last saturday.
i will say some of it has been fun. some of it has sucked....

the main thing are the concerts in the area. i bought tickets to all 8 of them.
last weekend we went to holter lake friday and saturday as well.
we found a cove with a rope swing and shit and cliffs to jump off of.

i managed to get buck naked and jump off a couple of times....
we took pics of the scenery up there, and our little crew hanging out and of me.. yeah me retrieving my shorts from the lake..

it was a blast.

i hope the forest fires don't take out spot away.
they made us leave saturday.

so anyhow.

i'm going to run.

talk to you soon!

Hey strangers.
I haven't posted in months I think.

So here is my Post.

I am in my upgrade training (4-6 months)
I am half way through volume #2 of 5.

Great Falls, MT is an okay place but you have to travel to go do stuff.
It is really fucking hot and dry here in the area right now.

I have a couple of pictures from our trip to Holter Lake (Log Gulch Camp Grounds) of our mountain climbing adventure (It is just pics from the summit hehe)

So anyway, I am liking it here.
I may be going out with some PMT crews to get to see what exactly goes on in the operational part of my job...

Also,

I found out my unit is up for deployment September - December... I won't make this one, butI sure as hell will be qualified to go by March of 08. I really don't mind going. It's not going to be so bad...

So anyway,

I am sitting here in the library just thinking about whats going on in Greenville, Cleveland, Memphis, Texas, and so forth. Hit a brother up!

well i am really really sunburned and my legs hurt really bad from standing up.

i was helping w/ the special olympics for this part of california today.
i escorted this young man named kevin to his events.. he was probably perfectly capable of getting around by himself so we just hung out and talked and so forth.

I was really proud of him. He got 2nd place in the 50 yard sprint and 6 place in the soft ball throw. It was really a lot of fun hanging out with various people and their buddies they were paired up with.

At the end of the day they made a big circle and the athletes gave their buddies a hug or shook hands.. Kevin gave me a big hug and thanked me for hanging out with him all morning and supporting him.

It really meant alot to both of us I am sure.

I feel like doing this somehow made me a better person.
At home, I wouldn't have taken time out of my day to do this, but it was really really worth it.

It was funny like the ringer funny.
They were having so much fun and laughing at how some people were really really athletic and all that. I think for the most part everyone there had a big big time.

I'll do it again.

Anyhow,

That was my weekend well spent.
Next weekend is Security at the Santa Barbara County Fair....

F'in right.. I'm going search folks.

31 March 2007 @ 01:15 am
So this weekend started off alright.

I have stayed out of trouble 3 whole weeks here in Cali (i'm not a trouble maker though!)

I got to spend the afternoon and evening w/ my cousin Will. It was alot of fun. I got to check out his fly ass pad on Shell Beach. The hospitol he has a contract with hooked him the fuck up. Right down the road there is a cliff which drops into the ocean. I watched seals and sea otters in the water and could see starfish down in the shallows ready to be picked up.
It was a very nice sunset. almost as good as the ones I saw in Texas.

So anyway we ate at some steak house which totally reminded me of the south. It was probably the best steak i've ever had aside from one my dad cooked.

While we were waiting for a seat at the bar an nice looking older female (mid to late 30's) moved her stuff and made room for me to sit down. Upon my "Thank you ma'am" she immediately asked me where i was from. "From The MS Delta Ma'am....long way from home." She ate it up.
She tried to buy me a drink but I stuck to water until we got to our seat.

Was a good meal. My cousin was amazed that I could pull a woman old enough to be my mother (and stay sober doing it ...) I'll make sure I am actually trying next time... might leave with some #'s.

So then it was 9:15PM, nothing to do. We went and saw TMNT.... It was okay... Blades of Glory was what I wanted to see. I will totally see that movie.

Anyhow, It's late, I'm tired.

G'nite.

Thanks for the jams charles!
I dig the song(s) lots
